Bad News

We have canceled the cruise. We canceled because of dad's health. He will be having a cath done on Thursday and then we will see when surgery is. We want him to be 100% well and good to go so he can have fun too. Canceling the cruise has eased tension in the house too dealing with the dog issue. Now since I will have more time to bond before we cruise I will be more willing to leave him home if we decide to do that. So now 44 1/2 more days till I meet my new puppy. I can't wait!!!

When will this year end?

I will start out by saying that we have had some good times this year but the bad so far out way the good. Now my dad is close to needing heart surgery. We found out last year that he would need it so it isn't unexpected its just been a hard year. My dad had emergency hernia surgery, had a cyst removed off of his eye, found out he had gout, my grandmother(dad's mother) died, my service dog of 10 years died unexpectedly and fast(thank God) and now dad needs heart surgery. I have had a hard and emotional year. It can just get better, right?

I am freaking out

We have moved our cruise from July 4, 2009 to November 22, 2008. I have tons of stuff to do between now and then. Here is some of the stuff I have to get done: passport(never have had one), get formal dresses picked out and made, go to KSDS and get my service dog, research what I can and can't do on the cruise, figure out what excursions I can do, pack, and head off for a fun and exciting Thanksgiving cruise. I also need to try and convince parents that its okay to take my service dog. At the moment they don't think its a good idea and to much trouble to take with us. To me its like taking me I am trouble to take places but they still take me. Also I will have only had my dog 4 months so I want to take him. If anyone has experience or ideas that would be appreciated?

Behind the plastic is the gutted out kitchen. Say Hi to Matt. He and his very cute son are the carpenters for our kitchen.

This is our kitchen table. On it is the microwave, electric skillet, coffee pot, toaster, and knife block. To the right is our trash can in front of our t.v. and then to the left under the coffee table is 3-5 plastic tubs of our pantry food(really can't see them).

Our spices are on the right of the fireplace, Chip's water and food beside the t.v., and the box peeking out from under the t.v has cereal, straws and other junk in it.

We are camping now!!

It's done. They have torn out the kitchen. We will be out of a kitchen for 2-3 months. As of today we have been "camping" for two days.

I'm so excited

Last night I booked a room on Liberty of the Seas. We are having a family cruise next year. There will be three of us in the room I am in so we had to get a Jr. Suite and they only have two handicapped Jr. Suites so we had to get cracking. I am so excited but also am a little nervous. I don't wanna sink. I just hope mom does not bitch about the trip the whole year.

Lunch with Trotter and Remodel Update

Today I got to meet Richard and his puppy Trotter. I was in love. We went out to eat at a bar-b-que place. At first Trotter was being a puppy and looking all over the place and wanting attention. After a while he calmed down and slept under the table. We did get looks from other customers but that is to be expected. After lunch Richard let me get some Trotter loving in. Thanks Richard. We are going to keep in contact and go out together again. Maybe next time it won't be bad weather.
We have emptied our kitchen out because they are suppose to start demo this week. My dad's room is framed and roofed. Next they demo kitchen and start from there. We are also waiting for our new windows.

Why am I always getting screwed

It has happened again. I hired someone to be my night attendant and they did one night and that was it. Why am I always getting screwed? Now I have to worry about my back up getting to the point where she wants to quit and I have NOONE. Then when I try and express my feelings to my mom she gets pissy and walks away. I wish I had someone like Desirae and Olivia. They are both awesome and work together. I guess I will have to ask everybody if they want to have a job. Thats another thing; I have a job for someone and no one wants it.
